HISTORY/OVERVIEW
The Alfa Romeo A12 and the Alfa Romeo F12 are two series of vans built by the Italian car manufacturer Alfa Romeo from 1967 to 1983, they replaced the third and final version of the Romeo. Until 1976 they retained the iron mask, today the most sought after. They were also supplied in a "raw" version to be fitted out, and some of these were converted into Caravans (Car Camping). Today they are extremely rare.
EXTERNAL
the bodywork is original from the factory and has had a complete restoration carried out by the previous owner, completed a few years ago, it is still in good condition with minimal signs of aging. A polishing and detailing treatment has just been completed. A feeler gauge test revealed no accidents.
The underbody and chassis are well preserved and original, usable without the need for interventions.
INTERNAL
The interior and all the original period furnishings are present and have been reinvigorated and polished, a new set of cushions with original period fabric has just been reupholstered. The stove, as well as the bathroom and folding beds are completely original! The front seats have also been completely restored.
MECHANICS
Mechanically the car has the original engine as per the booklet and runs well, it starts and runs, the gearbox engages all gears correctly and the brakes are free, however it has not been used recently because it is kept in a private Alfa Romeo collection and a Normal maintenance may be necessary before the new technical check.
It is increasingly rare to find this type of vehicle in original, well-maintained conditions and is an investment over time. It is also an excellent opportunity for clubs or for nice family trips to rallies and meetings away from home.
