HISTORY/OVERVIEW
The Volkswagen Golf I represents the first generation of the Golf, produced by the German car manufacturer Volkswagen from 1974 to 1983. For the design, Volkswagen relied on the stylistic flair of Giorgetto Giugiaro. In the autumn of 1980, the Golf underwent another restyling: externally, the headlights changed, becoming larger, but only in the sedans, while internally the passenger compartment was entirely new (in fact, the seats, dashboard and door panels changed).

EXTERNAL
The paint is still factory original, with normal signs of use and age. A polish and detailing treatment has just been completed. A thickness gauge test showed no incidents.

The underbody is also completely original and generally solid, with no signs of accidents.

INTERNAL
The interior is completely factory original, in overall good condition except for some wear on the driver's seat.
The door panels and dashboard are original, as is the entire interior and it is a true time capsule, including the rare two-spoke steering wheel.

MECHANICS
Mechanically the car has the original engine with code and serial number corresponding to the chassis number as per the registration document. The engine starts and the car can be driven on private land, however it has not been used for some years and the last technical check has expired, normal maintenance is recommended before use. The brakes are not locked and the car turns freely.

It is increasingly rare to find these Golf mk1 all original and unmodified, they are an interesting youngtimer, even the original factory sticker with the original details is present (see photo)
