HISTORY/OVERVIEW
The Buckler Cars company produced around 400 cars between 1947 and 1962. They featured a tubular chassis construction, the cars were of high quality and were supplied either completely built to order with official bodywork, or optionally and mostly in the form of components for home completion.
As well as producing cars, Buckler's produced gear sets for other companies, including Lotus Cars. They also built the first racing car chassis for Brabham MRD.
The DD2 chassis model is one of the latest built and is the result of the expertise gained over the years.
Numerous Bucklers have raced on international and national circuits and are regularly entered today, as at Goodwood.

EXTERNAL
Fully restored in original "Mineral Blue" color and finished in 2023. Chassis professionally restored and repainted. All paneling restored or replaced. High quality restoration awarded with the newly obtained ASI ORO plate.

INTERNAL
Completely restored, with aluminum seats and original or restored details. Completely new electrical system compliant with the era

MECHANICS
Mechanically the car has the rare Coventry Climax FWE engine (the same as the 1959 Lotus Elite), a custom exhaust, special racing intake manifolds, all mechanics are new or restored in excellent condition. Very fast thanks to the very light weight of only 650kg, it is a perfect car for re-enactments and competitions, as well as for sporty road trips thanks to its registration documents in order.

ASI registered with CRS certificate and ASI ORO plate and FIVA certification, ready for use.
