HISTORY/OVERVIEW
The Citroën Mehari was a small leisure car made of ABS, belonging to the type of car also known as a "spiaggina". It used the platform and mechanics of the 2CV. There are two series, the first with a "small nose" and the second with a redesigned front end and enlarged grille.

This first series is particularly interesting because it has a folding windscreen and soft doors with chains, produced only for a short period. It has always lived in Italy, where it was delivered new and its owner recovered it from a country house that had not been used since 1985 and restored it with care and passion. Since then he has traveled a few kilometers in the summer months.

EXTERNAL
The bodywork in the original color "AC 808 kalahari beige" is solid and without a trace of rust. It was stored in the garage over the winter and a polishing and detailing treatment has just been completed. Minimal signs of normal use are present.

The underbody and chassis were restored a few years ago and are in excellent condition, the last technical check revealed no defects and since then it has always lived in a dry, sheltered garage.

INTERNAL
The interiors have been completely restored, it is equipped with the optional rear bench and is approved for 4 seats on the registration document. The rubber mats are new, the soft top is new high quality

MECHANICS
Mechanically the engine is functional and the car drives pleasantly, it has always been preserved and kept in working order and the technical inspection was just passed in September 2023 valid until September 2025 with no defects found.

This version is very rare to find today, especially the first series with its original engine and all its details and an expensive restoration already carried out, it is an excellent investment
